dana + corey {baby is coming!}

Dana has to be one of the most beautiful pregnant women I have even seen. Not only is her baby bump adorable, but her smile and demeanor radiate pure joy. When Corey (her hubby) gets closer, even more so. They are so in love, and so happy to be expecting….being with them was such a pleasure.

I have known Dana for a long, long time. She is very close to my family, and she has helped me with watching my babies over the years. It it so cool to now see her happily married and her own little girl on the way in a few weeks!!

Ok, it was ridiculously hard choosing favorites from this session…just a warning.

Similar to the last, but I just couldn’t CHOOSE!!

I think this may very well be one of my most favorite shots….EVER.

that’s one HOT MAMA!!!

Thanks guys for being up for anything…it was fun. Brett and I are so excited for you two!! Can’t wait to meet that precious little girl.:)

Sarah - (DVD) I have always been a fan of Julia Roberts and the mievos she stars in her smile is infectious, it lights up the screen. In 1997, she made a comeback with a starring role in the romantic comedy My Best Friend’s Wedding. The film went on to become one of the most successful girly mievos of the whole decade, and after watching it earlier tonight on TV, it’s not hard to see why. It still holds up seven years later. The comedy is fresh, funky and slick. The plot is nothing original, but it holds up brilliantly because of the film’s four main stars. You have Julia Roberts, of course, who is no doubt a future Hollywood legend. Then there’s Cameron Diaz in one of her best film roles not quite topping her sexual cameo in The Mask three years earlier, but still bringing much humour to her role. Rupert Everett and Dermot Mulroney are the two main male actors and also do their roles justice.Julia Roberts plays Julianne Potter, a fast-talking confident Chicago food critic who used to date Michael O’Neal (Dermot Mulroney) in their college days. They since broke up after nine years and moved apart. They made a pact, however, that if by the age of 28 they both were not married, then they would marry each other. When Julianne receives a call from Michael three weeks before that pact deadline, she assumes he is ringing to get back with her. However, Michael is calling to introduce Julianne to his seemingly wonderful, irritatingly perfect fiancee Kimberly Wallace (Cameron Diaz) and announce their wedding which is taking place in just three days. That leaves Julianne three short days to break up the marriage and win back the man she has only just realised she loved all along. She will either win or lose that’s the conclusion. Ronald Bass’ perfectly-constructed screenplay keeps the viewer on the edge, forever guessing if she will win her battle. Julianne’s gay friend George Downes (Rupert Everett) agrees to help her, but only to a certain extent, and he is a hilarious asset to the comedic intentions put forth by the writers of the film.The film’s plot seems at times far-fetched, and it is, but this is a light-hearted, romantic comedy with many cliche9s built in for good measure! The comedy is spot-on there aren’t many laugh out loud moments, but more of a continual giggle-fest that will have you smiling for most of the film. Julia Roberts is a certain crowd-puller. People from all over the world will flock to see her mievos, and this one was exception. Cameron Diaz was half the superstar in this film that she is today, and her glowing smile and charasmatic confidence shines through in her ditzy role. Rupert Everett reminds me of Hugh Grant in this film, which can be no bad thing!The film has many memobrable scenes, including Kimberely’s hilarious karoke nightclub performance of I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself. The restaurant hilarity of the group’s performance of Dianne Warwick’s I Say A Little Prayer is also perfectly executed, with only professional directors pulling it off amateurs could have easily messed it up big time. The big city bread truck chase is hilarious, and the film has many touching moments. Julianne’s constantly foiled attempts to sabotage the impending wedding are brilliant too: most notably the e-mail/falling off the chair scene. This film is pure comedic brilliance. It could have easily fallen flat on its face, but it didn’t because of the right balance between fresh actors and excellent dialogue.

annie + westin {are married!}

You may remember Annie and Westin from their fun and different engagement shoot a month ago. Different for us because we don’t normally do indoor engagement shoots at night. It just so happens that Annie and Westin love the dark and moody black and whites, so you will see below I posted a few more than my usual of these types.

Their wedding day was perfect. The weather was gorgeous, the sky was blue, the sun was beautiful! But regardless, Annie didn’t care if it was sunny or rainy…she was getting married!!! We talked on the phone early on her wedding morning, and when most girls are franticly running around perfecting last minute details, she was laying on her sister’s floor- eating a muffin. She was so happy, and just kept giggling saying, “I’m getting married TODAY!” Her calmness remained the ENTIRE DAY. It was nearly shocking how awesome everyone did at the wedding. Things went so smoothly, with very very little stress.

The beautiful ladies…

The hot guys…..

Handsome groom.

Stunning bride!!!

The gals heading to the church right before the ceremony….

Oh no!! The boys! Those girls hid Annie pretty well:)

The last moment of Annie as a single gal.:)

Precious little moment I caught during the ceremony.

Westin is a llllliiittttllee happy to be married now.:)

True “FRIENDS” moment.

Annie having an unexpected “bonding” with her now brother-in-law.:)

Toast time. Confession time! Funny story from the groom’s brother.:)

I just adore you Annie.:)

Brett and I had an absolute blast! We both graduated from a small Christian school, and it is the same one Annie and Westin graduated from as well. It was so bizarre because we knew well over half the people at this wedding! It was almost like a reunion!! My sister was also a bridesmaid (Ashie!!!), and Westin’s brother and I went to school together in a class of 20 something, since 5th grade!:)Like I said, we had a blast seeing everyone!

Thank you so much guys for including us on this very special day in your lives. We have totally enjoyed hanging with you two, and we wish you all the best on this journey of life together. The love you both have for one another is just beaming from each of you, and we wish you much happiness as the years go by.

I’m sure you are having a BLAST in Hawaii right now!:)Woo-Hooooo!!!

3 precious kids. {a lifestyle session}

Last week I had the privilege of taking photos of three little siblings. Two were having birthdays soon, and one beautiful baby girl was celebrating her 4 month mark. Let me just tell you, these kids were so ADORABLE!! This sweet little baby girl did not help in my “wanting” of a baby girl.:)She was just breathtakingly beautiful. And her older brother and sister were just gorgeous as well, and sweet as could be. I just couldn’t get over how polite and kind they were to each other, and to me. It was such a pleasure taking their photos!

Sweet baby girl with her Mama…

Introducing…Mr. HANDSOME.

Little Miss Cutie Pie.

Three siblings swinging in a hammock!

Here is the little beauty herself….

So many adorable smiles and faces, I just couldn’t choose!!!

Thanks Z family!:)

new toy or two.

My parents gave Gabriel a cute wooden “rocking elephant” for his 1st birthday. He is about the cutest thing sitting up on it. He just looks at us like, “So now what?” He hasn’t figured it out quite yet, but all in good time.:)

Could he be any cuter??!:)

Really, I think he is just about as into the BOX the elephant came in, as the actual toy itself. The kids cut it up and made it into a fort almost immediately.

Ultra fun.
