Jovana - I love this pix of you two. Hey Jess.. were did you get your bag?? soo cute!

in the world of firsts {haircut}

It feels good to blog something personal again.  I had a blast last winter blogging lots of personal goodies, but this summer just seemed so full that I never really had to time to do many “just for fun” posts.  Lots are coming though.  Here is one to catch you up on my pint sized cuteness that is now WALKING around the house!

He was sitting up on Brett’s shoulders a couple weeks back and his hair was crazy looking…so I proceeded to make it look even more crazy and then took a picture.  (of course.)  I couldn’t believe how LONG his hair had gotten??!  It was time for a cut…nothing against mullets.  It was just time.

I know my friend Jessica who cuts MY hair is shaking her head right now.  I cut my kids hair, and most often they look pretty dorky for a week or so when I finish.  I am not very good at it, but it gets the job done. It beats what Brett would like to do to our boys hair to save some money, which is to buzz it off instead.  Yeah, you heard me.  He wants to BUZZ off all their beautiful hair!!!  (Have you seen my Adin’s curls???!)  No thanks.  Mama will just learn to cut boys hair….and so that is what I have tried to do for the past 5 years.

So sweet little Gabe got his first cut, and he did really well.

I quickly realized that he wanted to eat the apron, but he was eating hair instead.

Then he started to get ansy so I pulled a trick out of my bag…a bowl of raisins. That kept him busy.  (I love how he has his foot propped up on his baby pool.)

At least until he shoved them all in one bite. :)

I thought the end result was OK! He doesn’t look too goofy. I didn’t take off any huge chunks, ears or anything.:)   Good to go!

sandra p - omg, what a darlin, so cute!!!

amber + andy {are married!}

This time last week we had just come home from a SUPER great wedding. Amber had the day planned to a “t” and everything went better than we could have hoped for. She had nice typed out itineraries of the ceremony and reception for the entire wedding party, and let me tell you that often it was down to the 15 minutes….this girl knows what she is doing.  We ended up getting everything in that she wanted, with time to spare at sunset for some awesome portrait time with just the two of them.

Amber was just about the most beautiful bride in the world.

Andy had a gift sent in to her while she was getting ready.  It was a necklace that held very special meaning to them.  She was trying not to cry here. :)

Amber’s Mama is straightening her veil….

Meanwhile, Brett took the guys out for some shots….

He had so many GREAT shots with Andy and each of his groomsmen, I just had to show you one of each!  Oh how I could embarrass a few of you, but I won’t. :)

The girls began doing the finishing touches….Amber’s something blue was the girls all signing her shoes.  I loved how there were so many sentimental touches throughout the day.

The precious little flower girl, sharing what she thinks about all of this. :)

Amber with her two sisters…HEY Ashley and Adrienne!!!

A moment with her Dad before the ceremony.

Andy’s first time seeing his bride.  YES, there were sweet tears.

Amber looked beautiful. Oh, and the petals that the flower girl threw down the isle were all petals Amber dried from flowers given to her by Andy. Go Andy, and go Amber! I love this idea.

Picture time!  Is that someone doing the worm across the street???!!

Head to head.  This shot was an idea of one of the groomsmen.  Thy were so much fun!

Brett and I just laughed and laughed seeing these shots.  They got some serious AIR!  Even Amber’s sister who is pregnant was 3 feet off the ground!!  These were some happy folks.

The bridesmaids all kicked off their shoes…..

….and then I think we captured one of the most unique bridal party shots I’ve seen. :)  Amber’s bother Alex is the one hanging from the tree upside down.

Around sunset we had a blast taking photos.  Amber is just STUNNING.

Amber and Andy…we have so enjoyed the time we have gotten to share with you two. Amber, it has been great to be able to share in this part of your life, because even when you were a little girl playing with Ashley I knew you would grow up to be such a beautiful woman inside and out, and you so have. Whenever I see you the word that comes to mind is, JOY. It seems that not much can steal your joy, and I so admire that about you! Andy, it has been great to meet you and get to know you. Your love for Amber shines through and through and Brett and I are so happy you two found each other. We wish you all the best on this journey, and we hope to watch you guys grow together over the years.

new blog + studio3z love in South Carolina?

Hello fellow blog readers!  Recently we updated our blog with a new background, new banner slide show, and a few other goodies sprinkled throughout like our new “about” section. :)  It was brought to my attention that some people are not able to view the “new” blog and well, that kinda upset me because we put some work in to it!!  So, if you are seeing the same ol’ same old blog, please clear your cache.  If you don’t know how to do this, here is a youtube video teaching you how.  I think this one is windows based, but they have the mac version too.  Yes, they have them for everything.

In other news, studio3z is visiting South Carolina at the end of next month! (YAYYY!) We will be down near Charleston, and if we have interest we would be open to scheduling a session (any type: family, senior, fashion, just for fun).  If you would be interested in running around historic Charleston  with us get back to us soon at: info@studio3z.com

We plan to start traveling more often, so if you are in another location and would love for us to visit YOUR area, please drop us a note and let us know!! :)
