kelly + nate

I think it is such a joy when a married couple wants photos taken…just because.  Kelly and Nate have been married a couple years, but they wanted some photos that captured them in their life right now.  I completely love this idea!

We drove up to Columbus and spent an evening getting to know these two wonderful people.  The love they had for each other (and their two “babies”) is quite evident.  The way Nate looks at Kelly is so sincere.  He completely adores her.  And Kelly has the most beautiful smile and laugh that Nate so easily brings out of her. :)  Nate, I still think part-time comedian should be in your future.

We began around their home with their two very lovable and playful dogs.

We moved onto a place that Brett and I found on the drive in to Columbus.  It was a photographer’s gold mine of goodness!

Kelly, you are GORGEOUS inside and out!

We ended with some night shooting on the campus of OSU where they first met.

Kelly and Nate, you two rocked this session!!  Nate, I know you thought you would be tough to photograph….NOT the case in the least.  Both of you were so at ease.  Thanks so much for having us do this session for you!

nelly - great photos ! I love the ones with the cabin.

Cece {studio3z senior}

Cece is beautiful and bright, inside and out!  Her smile is incredibly contagious, guaranteed to affect those around.

Together we explored around a new part of town, and I couldn’t be more happy with how these turned out!

Naturally prone to smile, I asked Cece for a more serious look.  I said, “Think of….umm…..dead animals.”  Weird, I know, but that’s just what came out. It made us laugh and led to the photo below.  It became our running joke for the night when I needed a straight face.

I have no clue what’s up below….I’m guessing I found something I said to be completely hilarious. But it made me laugh how Cece is looking at me like I am completely nuts.  ;)

Thanks Cece for having your session with us….walking and walking, and getting yelled at in back country fields. :)  We wish you all the best in this next step in your life!

two years later.

We had an amazing time in New York City over Labor Day weekend with these two.

Our good friends Jess and Tony jam packed our 3 1/3 days in the big city, and we had SUCH a fun time. (Click HERE if you didn’t see our full post.) During that weekend, they also celebrated their 2 year anniversary, so Brett and I made sure to grab a snap here and there to document moments of their life in the city.

We love you guys!  Happy two years!  :)

lucy - how cute! love these pics of such a precious couple!

natalie

While visiting NYC, we had the opportunity to photograph the sweet, fun, and absolutely gorgeous Natalie.  She grew up in Cincinnati, and even went to the same high school that Brett and I attended.  My memory of her from school was when we took “Speech and Drama” together.  She was very sweet and so serious about the class.  I was not so serious, and avoided participation in there like the plague….why I actually took the class is beyond me.

Natalie ended up becoming a great actress, and when I came back to school to watch them perform “My Fair Lady,” Natalie  put on an unforgettable performance as Eliza. It is such a pleasure to see her now, in New York City, doing what she loves to do.

It had been a few years since she had head shots taken, and we lucked out with such a gorgeous day to work with!  The air was crisp, it was breezy, and the energy of the city was drawing me in each and every block we walked.

Natalie, you rocked it out!!!  Thanks for having fun with us. :)
