chelli + jeff

I think it is great when married couples want to have a photo session, just for fun.  Spending the time together, and having the photo memories to look back on….I would say a photo session is almost like a good therapy session for a married couple. ;)And I am only half kidding.

Jeff an Chelli are getting ready to celebrate 18 years together this December.  They made the trip down to Cincy from Columbus for the shoot, and if they look familiar, it is because they did a session with us at the end of last summer as well!

Cincinnati had a very colorless fall this year due to the lack of rain, but we found a FANTASTIC patch of color that evening!

I love this one….

Jeff and Chelli, you guys are awesome.  Thanks again for coming down and hanging with us!!

Jeffrey - Thanks, guys, for making the whole experience an absolute delight.

Gail - GORGEOUS you guys! I love how you tied the fall foliage so well into this shoot. I’m sure they’re loving these!

Family time in New Mexico {part II}

If you missed the first part of our vacation, look here, then come back. :)  Here are a few more days of our family trip in October.

We spent a day at Bandelier National Monument, where we were able to explore around ancient ruins of the Pueblo people.  I heard someone say it was home to Anasazi people, which the kids loved because we studied them a bit last year.

The kids loved climbing into the cliff dwellings.

Some of Brett’s college buddies came along.  Here’s Mark and Gracie:)

Brett’s friend Jacob came with his family as well.

Dinner at Mark and Mel’s was a great end to the evening.  Can you tell I like my little boy?

Sunset outside their house…

Next day – Poor Priya

New Mexico is known for its red chile peppers…

Priya’s 11th birthday was the day we arrived to New Mexico. She loved when she was serenaded. ;)

Thanks for looking. I’m not done just yet. ;)

Emily - My boyfriend has been dropplet little seedlets of thoughts to grow in my head…he would like to get married in New Mexico. His reasoning is because of the scenes in Crazy Heart, which I have never seen. Up until seeing your pictures, I was entertaining his idea, but wasn’t quite sold…now I WANT to get married in New Mexico and I want to take you with me!

Thanks for sharing your amazing work.

new favorite

I have a nice big New Mexico post in the works, but don’t have enough time this morning to get it posted before school with the kids- look for it later today.

Here is one for now.

Call it my new favorite, because I am just smitten. This is another one of those images that I can imagine myself looking back on with such emotion and fondness.

Eliana turns one

It was just a little over a year ago when we did maternity shots of Lauren and Mark as they awaited the arrival of their sweet little girl.  It was surreal and wonderful seeing them for the first time in a year, now with their new little sidekick. :)  What an absolute CUTIE they have!

This photo, to me,  just encapsulates the wonderful beauty of new parents. It is such a magnificent time.

One of the few smiles we got from her that day, was looking at her Daddy.

On the way to our second location she fell asleep. :)

And she kept sleeping…..

Then she woke up and was thrilled to be at a bookstore that she loves and is familiar with.  She ran around looking through books, pulling them off the shelf, and plopped down to thumb through them.  It was adorable watching her!!

Lauren and Mark, thank you for letting us capture this precious time in your lives!  Your girl is just a sweetie pie….I could eat her up! ;)

November 10, 2010 - 6:32 pm

sara - You guys captured every side of Ellie at her finest – laughing, crying, sleeping, or searching! I love all of the ones where she’s walking around, and the family pic when she’s crying :-) Oh and I especially love the one where she’s reading a book as big as her in the tree trunk! It’s probably safe to say that I love them all. Great job, yet again, and thanks!
