Our year began on a super high note with the beautiful wedding of Debbi and Chris.  On January 1st, the weather was looking rough as we headed out that morning.  The dark clouds were above, and a fine (and very cold), misty rain was in the air.  We had hoped and prayed that we would have some dry time for this wonderful couple, even though the forecast called for a very gray day.  And it was a gray day in fact….that is, until the moment these two love birds met for their first look.  It was a bit unbelievable.  Chris had his back to Debbi, and we pulled up in the car.  As we walked over, the clouds were parting and sunshine shone for the first time of the day.  It was so unbelievably PERFECT for these two, who are so in love, and were beyond thrilled to FINALLY be saying their “I dos.” 

Big congrats to you Debbi and Chris!  Your gorgeous Manor House wedding, surrounded by such loving family and friends, was so incredibly perfect for you two. We were so honored to be a part.  Wishing you love and laughter together for many years to come.  ~jess & brett

Working on a wedding post this morning, when I stumbled across this image.  It is so awesome to be able to witness brides and grooms on what may be one of the best days of their lives.  With some couples, the joy is overflowing and crazy contagious.  Debbi (pictured below), is one such bride.  Sweet as can be, and completely, positively, overjoyed to be marrying her true love.

This morning, seeing this photo brought a huge smile to my face. Can’t wait to share more!

Linen dresses, vintage ruffles and lace, tattered edging, OH my.

It was the most gorgeous winter wonderland kind of day for Carrie and Charlie’s wedding.  The beautiful white historic home they chose for their venue only added to the wonderful feel of the day.  The wedding was intimate and cozy, and considering Charlie just moved to The States from England, there were lots of beautiful English accents floating through the air.   Things that stood out about this wedding to me…..

The dress that Carrie wore that was her mothers from 1974. She hardly altered anything, and didn’t have to re-size it at all.

The locket of “Bonnie Prince Charlie” that Carrie wore.  It has been passed down in Charlie’s family for many generations, and is over 250 years old.

Charlie’s BIG smile…

Carrie’s super low maintenance character….I think her total time for hair, makeup, and dressing was 20 mins!

Hands down the best live wedding music EVER.  Jake Speed and the Freddies were crazy amazing! Their country- bluegrass sound provided some fun foot tapping tunes through the night.

Carrie and Charlie, thanks so much for having us!  Your day was beyond beautiful, and we were incredibly honored to be a part.  We wish you all the best on this new adventure.
